Meet Author Zoe Ferraris at the Campbell Library
When: Wednesday, August 17, 2011 - 7:00 PM Where: Campbell Library Zoe Ferraris moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the aftermath of the first Gulf War. She lived in a conservative neighborhood with her then-husband and his Saudi-Palestinian Bedouin family. This experience served as the inspiration for segments of her novels. Her first novel, Finding Nouf won the LA Times Book Award for First Fiction. Her second novel, City of Veils, has been chosen as the Best of 2010 by the UK Guardian, the SF Chronicle, and the Sun Sentinel. She received her MFA from Columbia and currently lives in San Francisco. Check out Finding Nouf and City of Veils from the library. Then, on August 17 at 7 p.m., meet Zoe Ferraris at the Campbell Library. She will discuss her novels and answer questions from the audience. This special free event will be held in the Community Room, on the lower level of the Campbell Library. .
