Dec. 05, 2006 Mercury News - Players to watch: Boys
"Michael Weimer, Westmont: He'll probably play center because of his size, but the 6-5 senior can play any position and might be the Warriors' best outside shooter. Weimer averaged 18.2 points and 8.7 rebounds last season and combined for 50 points in a pair of victories over first-place Oak Grove." jpg

Westmont seeded 3 in DIV 2 CCS.
Excerpt from "CCS Tournament Preview" on NorCalPreps:
"The 6-foot-5 Weimer (18.3 PPG, 9.3 RPG and 2.2 blocks) is the frontrunner for the Mt. Hamilton MVP award, combining tough drop steps at the post with a feathery three-point stroke from the outside. "

Maui - After watching Weimer dismantle Beverly Hills,  Coach Terrance Kelly of highly ranked  Campbell Hall  knew where to focus his game plan; giving national prospect Justin Holiday the assignment.  Weimer stepped up to the challenge out scoring (30 pts), blocking and rebounding his opponent. But Westmont couldn't match the depth of Campbell Hall (which also includes Jrue Holiday, the No. 2 ranked prospect in the class of 2008) who went on to win the tournament.
